  • I paid 28% last year and will do so again this year. I know people (the very poor) that did not pay one red cent into the system, yet they will receive a $7,000 to $10,000 earned income credit tax "refund" when they file.

  • I have an even better idea. Quit using our tax money to subsidize Amtrak and let them go broke. It cost the tax payers a bundle to keep this farce on the tracks. They have a worse schedule record than the airlines. I have yet to see an Amtrak arrive or depart on time.

  • I have worked many midnite shifts without sleeping on the job. Fire them and hire someone to do the job.

  • I worked rotating shifts for the FAA for years. A little planning is all it takes to get some sleep and stay awake at work. Air traffic controllers are under-educated, overpaid, and pampered.
